In order to foster its international production capacity Datawords is hiring, in its office in Makati City, Philippines, a Application Support Specialist.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Solving software faults
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
  • Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
  • Priorities and manage many open cases at one time
  • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers
  • Test and evaluate new technology

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and the like
  • Internship related experience with application support
  • Proficiency in Office 365 (MS Word, Excel and Power point)
  • Knowledgeable in HTML and CSS
  • Familiar with ticketing systems
  • Knowledgeable in Google Suite
  • Knows to provide good customer service
  • Organized, systematic, and able to work autonomously
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong work ethic – must be self-motivated and able to take the initiative to get the job done
  • Ability to function in a global team environment
  • Open to multicultural work environment
  • Good interpersonal skills
