Datawords Group is looking for a Lead PHP Developer to take Datawords Group technical teams to the next level.

Our development team builds websites (E-com & marketing), CRM tools, digital campaigns, and web apps for online & offline events.

You will oversee the Web development activity of an international team and the implementation of methodologies, tools, and organization to support its growth and scaling. You will also play a key role in the identification of business opportunities thanks to close contact with project management, designers, and sales stakeholders.

Working from Datawords Philippines offices, you will collaborate with the Philippines' technical team and will lead the growth of our Dev activity in partnership with Datawords Hong-Kong and worldwide offices.

Your technical expertise and ability to effectively share knowledge with your colleagues will play a crucial role.

Job Duties:

• Take on the role of a mentor, driving the dev team to enhance their skills and tackle increasingly complex projects,
• Problem-solving and risk management are crucial aspects when taking on a leadership role,
• Implementing modern development methodologies such as (Agile, SCRUM, and MVP..), along with an excellent time management mindset,
• Active participation in the pre-sales phase, including conducting feasibility studies and providing estimations, is highly advantageous.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience of Object-Oriented PHP development
• Full-stack development solid experience is required

Front-end

• Language (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
• Framework (Vue.JS, React.JS)

Back-end

• Language & template modelization (PHP Blade, Twig)
• Framework (Laravel, Symfony)
• CMS : Wordpress, Shopify, Drupal, Magento
• Database (MariaDB, MongoDB (Plus), MySQL, PostgreSQL (Plus), GraphQL (Plus))
• Misc (Container e.g. Docker, JWT, GIT, Gitflow (Plus),, gRPC (Plus), RESTFul)_
• Project Management tools: Jira & Confluence

• Experience with Dev/Ops: server hosting, testing, app security
• Hosting (AWS/ Azure)
• Server (OS – Linux, Service – HTTP)
• CI/CD
• Basic networking
• Domain name management
• Experience working with Agile methodologies
• Strong Expertise using GIT
• Architecture and API modularization : BPMN & UML
• Excellent communication skills in English (Chinese is a plus)

Nice to have

• Experience with unit testing
• Experience using Sales Force Commerce Cloud or other SAS proprietary solutions.
• Experience with payment gateways
